- Consistent and Reproducible: unlike a manual disinfection, automatic UVC disinfection is always performed in the same optimal way for highest protection against spread of infectious diseases
- Reliable: the disinfection is always performed using defined intervals such that each disinfection cycle is clearly documented in the database of the Argos-3/-5 monitor. Even potential faults are automatically identified, and corresponding warning messages are provided
- High Frequency: the automatic UVC disinfection option allows for a much higher frequency of disinfection compared to a manual disinfection process. The Monitor Program software provides a comprehensive UVC Disinfection Configuration menu
- Fully Automated: no labor-intensive manual disinfection required
- Gentle on WBM Components: no premature equipment aging due to a chemical disinfection agent
- High Performance: no deterioration of radiological performance of the WBM due to residues of a chemical disinfection agent
Description
Mirion Technologies is proud to introduce the Automatic Ultraviolet C (UVC) Disinfection Option for Argos-3/-5 Whole Body Contamination Monitors (WBMs). This allows a fully automatic disinfection of the face and hand area of Argos-3/-5 WBMs by high-power UVC light. This option can be factory installed into new Argos-3/-5 monitors, or can be ordered as a field-installable upgrade to existing Argos-3/-5 monitors.
Whole Body contamination Monitors such as the Argos-3 or Argos-5 monitors are typically used by many individuals who each bring their faces (including mouth and nose) and hands in direct contact to the same surface. This poses a risk for spread of infectious diseases. The Automatic UVC Disinfection Option for Argos-3/-5 monitors provides a fully automated solution to mitigate this risk to protect workers and personnel.
NOT available for Argos™-3 Compact nor legacy Argos™-2/-4 models
