The Role

As HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to the UK Leadership team to drive a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace environment in line with Mirion Values.

The role requires all rounded generalist experience, especially employee relations, talent management and employee engagement. The successful candidate will have the ability to drive company initiatives whilst managing the day-to-day tasks as required.

This position is based in Farnborough, Hampshire and reports to the Technologies Group. It is responsible for overseeing employees across UK businesses (Farnborough, Harwell, Warrington, Seascale and Forss) reporting to the HR Director EMEA & APAC. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities

The HR Manager responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage employee relations matters to successful resolution by providing guidance and support to managers and employees in line with HR policies and best practices.
  • Lead the people function, developing and implementing strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent across the businesses in line with the company guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture whilst taking into consideration needs of different businesses.
  • Lead annual O&T review and drive employee development and performance management initiatives.
  • Complete Merit increase assessment in accordance with the company guidance and lead timely and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager on recruitment initiatives and support onboarding to drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure all necessary administrative tasks are completed accurately and in timely manner as required.
  • Collaborate with finance team on monthly payroll ensuring accuracy.
  • Any other task not mentioned but reasonably expected within the scope of role.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Level 5 CIPD qualified (or working towards qualification)
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience at HR Advisory level or higher
  • Fluent in English

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in matrix organisation
  • HR or Business Graduate
