Mirion was formed in 2005, unifying a set of nuclear operations under a single mission. One key player is IST — Imaging and Sensing Technology Corporation — a leading designer and assembler of equipment for nuclear power plants.

When the combination took place, IST was comprised of several product lines. The Industrial product lines were divested, and the following two nuclear product lines were retained:

• Sensing Systems Group: a top producer of in-core and ex-core radiation detectors and electrical penetrations.

• Imaging Systems Group: a global market leader in radiation tolerant and high temperature cameras for remote inspection.

IST France™ & IST Conax Nuclear™

Mirion's IST product lines of in-core and ex-core detectors, and electrical penetrations, including the IST France™ (the former nuclear division of Auxitrol) and IST Conax Nuclear™ lines, steadfastly serve crucial roles in ensuring safety and precision in nuclear power plants across the globe. They provide cutting-edge in-core and ex-core detectors and electrical penetration assemblies for nuclear reactor instrumentation and containment, as well as connectors and cables designed to withstand severe accident conditions.

Mirion's IST-Rees™

Mirion's IST-Rees™ radiation tolerant imaging solutions form a key part of the product portfolio for the nuclear market. These state-of-the-art closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras are specifically designed to withstand high levels of radiation and heat, and work under water. Durability and exceptional image quality make these high-radiation camera systems ideal for remote inspection in even the most challenging environments.

High-Temperature Cameras

High-temperature cameras in our IST-Quadtek™ line offer advanced monitoring and optimization capabilities for high temperature applications and beyond. These cameras are designed to withstand the harsh environment of a variety of industrial environments, from pulp and paper processing to steel manufacturing and mining.
