The Role

We offer a superb opportunity for a highly organised, detail-oriented & confident individual to join our team as Sales & Technical Support Administrator. This role is essential in supporting our UK sales department, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent customer service to our customers.

You will be responsible for being a point of contact for customers (internal and external), managing the sales orders (UK Team and Intercompany), providing support for the Application Support Group engineer with administrative duties and assisting with the preparation of quotations and tenders alongside other sales administration activities such as providing order status updates to the relevant account managers, intercompany contacts or directly to the clients.

This role belongs to the Technologies Group EMEA/APAC and reports to the UK Sales & Marketing Director based in Farnborough, Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the Sales & Technical Support Administrator include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage orders: contract review, order processing, purchase requisition, tracking and delivery using local database. Actively liaising with Farnborough Production Team.
  • Handling incoming sales calls from customers.
  • Check and maintain agreed intercompany margins on incoming requests and orders.
  • Provide sales quotations when required in support of Account managers.
  • Complete supplier registration questionnaires/forms and maintain supplier portals.
  • Communicating customer contact details to sales account manager/engineers and updating relevant databases as required
  • CRM system (SFDC)
  • ERP system (D365)
  • Responsible for demo equipment inventory
  • Arranging travel for the sales team when required
  • Ad-hoc projects and activities to support the UK Sales Team, when required Uphold the Company’s core values of integrity, commitment, accountability, respect and exploration
  • Occasional travel to support Sales team
  • ASG support, clerical and technical
  • Assist with customer Factory Acceptance Tests

The key skills and qualities of the Sales & Technical Support Administrator are:

  • An appreciation of customers’ applications
  • A strong desire to work in a commercial environment
  • Ability to communicate with and influence decision makers
  • Able to work as an integral part of the Sales Team
  • Ability to assess priorities and work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attentive to details
  • Understanding of Export Licence Rules
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to use Microsoft D365 (desirable)
  • Salesforce experience (desirable)
  • Some technical proficiency, especially in electronic and/or mechanical engineering would be beneficial.
